No, you do not need to register to purchase from Military Heritage but if you choose to register your contact details will be stored securely for future orders.  For your security your payment details are not stored or transmitted to Military Heritage in full.

Military Heritage does not currently provide a research service and cannot guarantee to answer emails which relate to research queries.  However we will provide information and external links on the website to assist you in your research. Good luck!

We have deliberately chosen not to sell original cap badges or medals largely because of the number of fakes out there!  In addition we want to bring you items which you can wear or use, as well as treasure and pass on to future generations, at a reasonable price.  Whilst there is undoubtedly no substitute for the original cap badge or medal as held by your ancestor, if you are not lucky enough to have those items, we believe that our products represent the next best thing.  We also feel very strongly about the abhorrent practice of renaming original medals.  There are people out there who will do this so depriving another family of the opportunity of finding their ancestor's original medals.  Whilst most badge and medal dealers are honest and knowledgable there will always be those who are not. 

The war was referred to as the Great War at the time.  It only became necessary to call it the First World War to distinguish it from the Second World War.  Your ancestors would have talked about the Great War, and therefore so do we.
