Were your ancestors proud to wear the cap badge of the Devonshire Regiment?
£2.49 inc. VAT

The Devonshire Regiment adopted the use of Exeter Castle for its badge in 1883 but it had previously been the used by the Devon Militia for many years. The castle is shown on an eight pointed star, the upper point of which is replaced by the King's Crown. Under the castle is a scroll bearing the motto "Semper Fidelis" which can be translated as Ever Faithful. The badge was produced in bi-metal and later, because of a shortgage of nickel in 1916, all brass. Prior to 1901 a very similar badge was used but with Queen Victoria's Crown. After about 1956 a new version was produced with Queen Elizabeth's Crown. If your ancestors served under the cap badge of the Devonshire Regiment, this impressive cap badge photo card will enhance and illustrate your family history. Military Heritage have sourced and photographed a huge number of military cap badges for you. Order the printed version and your cap badge photo card will be printed for you on to quality 6"x4" (15cm x 10cm) satin photo paper and sent to you in an archive quality wallet. |
