The badge depicts the cap badge of the Royal Fusiliers. It comes in a box with a clear lid but can easily be removed, worn and then replaced. We have put some interesting information about the Royal Fusiliers on the back of the box. Our Royal Fusiliers lapel badge is approx. 25mm x 19mm and has a brooch safety clasp. During the Great War over 235,000 men served with the Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment). This number includes those who served with the attached territorial battalions, being the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th (City of London) battalions of the London Regiment. The first Victoria Crosses awarded during the Great War were to men of the 4th Battalion Royal Fusiliers, Lt Dease and Pte Godley, for their bravery defending Nimy Bridge, Mons on 23rd August 1914.
