Royal Fusiliers lapel badge

If your ancestor served in the Royal Fusiliers during the Great War our Royal Fusiliers lapel badge makes the perfect enhancement to your research. The badge depicts the cap badge of the Royal Fusiliers.  It comes in a box with a clear lid but can easily be removed, worn and then replaced. During the Great War over 235,000 men served with the Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment).  This number includes those who served with the attached territorial battalions, being the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th (City of London) battalions of the London Regiment.  The first Victoria Crosses awarded during the Great War were to men of the 4th Battalion Royal Fusiliers,  Lt Dease and Pte Godley, for their bravery defending Nimy Bridge, Mons on 23rd August 1914.  A magnificent memorial to the Royal Fusiliers stands in Chancery Lane, Holborn, London.
