Tank Corps cap badge cards

The Tank Corps was formed from the Machine Gun Corps, Heavy Section in 1917, although tanks were first used on the Somme in September 1916 at Flers.  The Tank Corps cap badge was produced in gilt or bronze for officers and brass for other ranks.

In 1922 the Tank Corps was awarded the title of Royal and the motto "Fear Naught". A new cap badge was produced to reflect these changes in 1924.
