We have sourced and photographed an original TANK CORPS cap badge as worn in the period 1917 -1922 to bring you the Military Heritage Tank Corps photo card. You are currently viewing the ready printed version which will be supplied as a 6" x 4" (15cm x 10cm) full colour print on high quality satin photo paper and posted to you. If you would prefer to print it yourself, please take a look at the download version. The Tank Corps was formed from the Machine Gun Corps, Heavy Section in 1917, although tanks were first used on the Somme in September 1916 at Flers. The Tank Corps cap badge was produced in gilt or bronze for officers and brass for other ranks. In 1922 the Tank Corps was awarded the title of Royal and the motto "Fear Naught". A new cap badge was produced to reflect these changes in 1924. |
